Investing in people

The PG Group invests heavily in the training and development of its 3000 employees, and has implemented numerous programmes to assist employees and their families.

Our corporate social investment programme focuses on community and youth development. Two major projects enjoy substantial support from the PG Group: Street-Wise Children South Africa and the Field Band Foundation.
Street-Wise Children South Africa is an organisation that attempts to reconcile street children with their families and communities, and takes care of those with nowhere to go.

The Field Band Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged youth by offering them an opportunity to participate in Field Bands all over South Africa. Through music and movement, under-privileged young people learn valuable skills, develop imagination and build team spirit.

The Foundation was initiated by the PG Group in its Centenary Year (1997).
